Kudos to Adobe: They Allow You to Switch Platforms

About six months ago, I bought the Adobe CS3 Web Premium software, which includes Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks. A very nice upgrade (I already owned old versions of several of these products) Unfortunately, this upgraded software ran very slow on my computer. This was not the fault of the software; the slowness was due to my computer being 6 years old and the new, improved software was just too much for the old machine. (more…)

Joomla 1.5: Review

Having waited six months after the release of Joomla 1.5, I decided to finally give it a try. As with ANY new software, I try to avoid being an early adopter aka “tester,” especially if the “testing” involves a client’s website. Even though I had vowed to wait for one year before using 1.5, I gave it a try and now have two websites using it. (more…)
