In order to make my life and my client’s life easier, I have again updated my Joomla User Guide, adding how to procedures for the following:

• New screens shots for JCE Editor linking
• How to delete Joomla menu links
• How to Move a Joomla Article
• How to Copy a Joomla Article.

The Joomla Content Management System is a very secure system. At times, that can be a double-edged sword. Joomla’s security protects your site from the hackers that swarm the internet like cockroaches. Unfortunately, Joomla’s security can make adding video and audio to your site a real hassle. (more…)

RSGallery2 is a great photo gallery for Joomla. A few months ago, I reviewed RSGallery2 for Joomla 1.0.x. and gave it a glowing review. And it deserved it: it was easy to install, easy to use, worked flawlessly, and it was free.

Since then, I have switched over to Joomla 1.5 for all new websites I build using Joomla. Joomla 1.5 is a great improvement over an already great content management system. Unfortunately, many of the great Joomla 1.0.x  plugins have not be ported to Joomla 1.5, or if they have, they are still in Beta and a little unstable. (more…)
