Problem: I have a Joomla website that uses AllVideosReloaded (AVR) to display YouTube Videos. Works fine in all browsers except Internet Explorer. In Internet Explorer, you can’t see the videos.
Solution: I use the Joomla plugin JCH_Optimize to speed up the loading of the website. Unfortunately, the compression of the AVR javascripts prevents the video from displaying in Internet Explorer. This is the fault of Internet Explorer. To fix the problem, I configured JCH_Optimize to NOT compress the following AVR scripts:
- silverlight.js
- wmvplayer.js
- swfobject.js
- avreloaded.js
Yesterday, I noticed that none of the YouTube videos on my site would play. For example, when I clicked on one of these videos, nothing happended, but there was a message at the bottom of Firefox that said Waiting for gdata.youtube.com….
Joomla 1.5 includes a Flash file uploader that makes it easy to upload a lot of image files at once. Unfortunately, if you keep your browser updated, then you probably have the Flash 10 plugin, and this plugin will prevent the Joomla Flash Uploader from working. Read on to find out how to fix it.
