Joomla 1.5.11 Bug: Ordering Category Blog Items Alphabetically
On a recent project, I used a Joomla Category Blog link to list all articles in a category. Then the client asked me to order the items alphabetically by title. I said no problem. Boy was I wrong. Apparently there is a bugĀ in Joomla 1.5.11 that prevents this from working. Now matter how I configured the menu link, the items would not order alphabetically.
The workaround for this is to order the items alphabetically in the Joomla Article Manager. This is a real pain, especially if you have more than five or six articles, or if you frequently add new articles.

Same problem in 1.5.12. Couldn’t find anything on the official Joomla forum.
If anyone has any other idea to get this working without -manually- having to reorder I’d be most oblige. Everlasting thanks and gratitude
(clients don’t have backend access. I don’t have time to do it – or rather time = $$)

I have not tested this in 1.5.12, but I was hoping that this problem would be fixed. I looked at the release notes for 1.5.12 and they mentioned fixing the Category List Layout sorts correctly (15541) bug, but category listing is not the same as the category blog listing.

Update: The Joomla 1.5.12 update fixes the alphabetic sorting bug in 1.5.11. Cheers to the Joomla Dev Team?
