X-Cart just released version 4.3, and it’s a great improvement. The main changes are: Advanced Order Management; Flyout, Expandable Menus; AJAX Mini Cart and Search; New CSS Templates. And X-Cart 4.3 is FASTER!

The main improvements to X-Cart–Added Advance Order Management, Flyout, Expandable Menus, AJAX Mini Cart and Search–are worth the upgrade. All of these items were commercial modules that you had to purchase and install; and they all improve the customer experience. Now they are included in X-Cart for free.

X-Cart 4.3 Flyout / Expandable Menus — The flyout menus are a great addition to X-Cart, especially if you have extensive categories and sub categories. These menus make navigating a complex site much easier for the customer. The menu can be configured to use expanding folders instead of flyout menus. And best of all, the menus are coded with unordered lists and use css layout, making them search engine friendly.

Advanced Order Management (AOM) — The Advanced Order Management module allows you to edit existing orders. For example, AOM allows you to add/remove items from order, edit parameters of the order, change delivery method, change pricing, discounts, shipping and more.

AJAX Add to Cart / Mini Cart — The new, AJAX Add to Cart and Mini Cart allow the customer to add items to their cart without leaving the current page. This makes it easy for the cutomer to add multiple products without leaving the product page. Plus, the AJAX Mini Cart automatically updates and shows the exact contents of your cart and allows the customer to edit the cart at any time.
