After building 22 websites using the Joomla Content Management System, I finally got time to convert my own site, writenowdesign.com,  to Joomla.

After building 22 websites using Joomla, I have decided it’s just as fast, or faster, for me to build a website using Joomla than it is for me to build a site with static html pages. Plus, by building a website with Joomla, I get all the advantages of Joomla:

• The ability to add, update, or delete website content using any web browser
• 1000s of Joomla plugins: if you need to add ANY interactive function to your site, Joomla has thousands of plugins to fit almost any need, and a large percentage of these are free. Even the commercial plugins are very reasonably priced
• Global templates that keep your site design consistent

Even for an html expert like me, Joomla makes it’s easier to maintain a website with lots of pages
