You can add links within a Joomla article. For example, if you have a long Joomla article, you can add navigation links at the top of the Joomla article. These links will take the user directly to a paragraph or heading in the document.
Important - This procedure is easier if you have JCE Content Editor installed ( http://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/ ).
- In an open article, go to the paragraph or heading you want to link to, and then put your cursor at the beginning of the paragraph or heading.
- Click the Insert Anchor icon.

Note: If you are using the default Joomla editor, you must type the anchor name preceded by the pound sign; for example type#catin the ULR field.
Note: You can create a link from another page to an anchor. For example, if you want to link to the cat1 anchor in the example above, you need to enter the whole URL of the page you are linking to, plus add the anchor at the end of the url:
http://mysite.com/somepage#cat1 - Click Insert to insert the link.
Joomla inserts a link to the anchor.
Navigation Links to Paragraphs within the Article - Open the article on your website and test the link to make sure it links to the correct paragraph within the article.
