Joomla Redirect index.php to root

July 14, 2012 by Pat Fortino

With most Joomla installations, you will find that your home page has duplicate content: http://mysite.com and http://mysite.com/index.php both display your  home page. Google will see this as duplicate content and possibly give your site a lower rank. You can use a redirect to correct the problem.

Click here to find out how to redirect index.php to / in Joomla.
