How to Add Extra Fields to WordPress Registration

By default, the WordPress registration screen has two fields: Username and Email. However, with only the username and email, it’s difficult to identify who is registering. A client needed the First Name and Last Name fields so they could identify who was registering. I  installed the Cimy User Extra Fields ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cimy-user-extra-fields/ ) plugin that allows you to easily add the extra fields that are available in the WordPress user profile.

With the Cimy plugin, you can specify which WordPress profile fields appear on the registration screen.
