Joomla Menu Item Manager

Joomla Menu: To Restrict Access to a Menu Item by User Level

December 8, 2009 by Pat Fortino

Joomla allows you to restrict access to individual menu items. For example, if you have one item on your menu that you want to restrict to registered users, you can easily do this. Once you restrict the access level, say, to Registered users, the user will have to log in before they can access the link’s content.

  1. From the Joomla admin menu, select Menu > Menu Name where Menu Name is the menu containing the item you want to restrict.

  2. Click the menu item you want to restrict.
