How to Add Facebook Like Button to Joomla

May 26, 2011 by Pat Fortino

  • Once the Like Button is configured, click Get Code.
You will have two choices: XFBML and iFrame. If you use XVBML, it will break the site in Internet Explorer. As a result, take the easy path and use the iFrame code.
  • Copy the and paste the code it into a Joomla article or module where you want it to appear.
Note: If you are using Joomla 1.5, JCE content editor will strip out iFrame code unless you configure it to allow iFrame. You can configure JCE to allow iFrames in the Group settings.
  • Test your Like button in all browsers.
